Instead of the typical ads that you see in most publications–newspapers and magazines–think about editorial advertising.
Our next series of blog posts will be tips and suggestions on how you can write a great editorial article.
Editorials are more effective than placement ads. Not only do people give more credibility to editorials, they are also far more likely to catch the reader’s eye than a placement ad. Editorials simply attract more readers.
Editorials allow you to:
• Connect with readers. By writing informative, objective editorials, you have an opportunity to promote your business and establish yourself as the leading authority in your field!
• Run profiles of your executives and key personnel. If you have a business with many professionals, you can highlight each of those individuals and give your readers in-depth information about each of their areas of expertise.
• Feature an in-depth launch of new products or innovative services. If you open a new facility, or hire a new professional, you can make that announcement in detail. Perhaps, your business has unique capabilities or equipment or services that many of your competitors don’t have. You can inform your readers about how you stand out from your competition and become the authority in your field. When the reader needs or wants those services, chances are they are going to come to you, because you have given them information or perhaps you have answered questions that may have had.
• Provide testimonials from some of your most prestigious customers. Testimonials from satisfied customers are a powerful tool. Testimonials from prestigious clients are the best.
